Time to Heal Inherited Trauma, Become the Hero of Your Family

The greatest gift you can give your family is healing yourself. When you heal YOUthe power of that transformation transcends and descends your bloodlines. Anger turns to acceptance, grief turns to gratitude, betrayal turns to understanding, fear turns to courage, rage turns to passion, anxiety turns to creativity, while selfishness turns to love. It takes ONE. Just ONE in the family to STAND-UP and say this is going to STOP with me. Inherited trauma is very real. The good news is we can track down the source and rebuild your body back to health. When we examine inherited trauma through the lens of the body and energy field—essentially its communication system, these traumatic memories and survival programs are deposited in the pelvis also known as the root region involving the lower back, the hips, legs, knees and feet. This is also the area of the body that houses our reproductive/generational organs.

Your body is a living and breathing organism of the visible and invisible roots of your parents and grandparents. The visible ones are those you can see in the mirror. You have your mother’s eyes, or your grandfather’s smile. The hardware. But beyond the physical traits are the life experiences and hardships making and remaking your body and life, like software evolving and influencing your operating system—modus operendi. There is something miraculous in the harmony, the music that plays from generation to generation in our bodies physically, emotionally and spiritually. Our ancestors fortify us. If we listen, we can hear the echoes of those who have lived before us singing carry on, carry on. “Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way,” Leo Tolstoy suggested in his novel Anna Karenina. In my work healing individuals and their families over the last 15 years, I can now detect when there is dissonance, unfinished business, in the unhappy family. The dissonance of domestic warzones, neglect, betrayal, divorce, mental illness, substance abuse, war and sexual violence, carries a different sound from generation to generation. The echoes are cries for help. For some, these generational wounds are like violent storms of self-destruction. We can hear them. Even better, we can heal them. At the UPRISING on Tuesday, May 7th, at 6:30 p.m., we’re going to guide you through movement in your body and a generational mediation to track down the roots of your broken heart, puzzling pain, depression, anxiety, insomnia, panic attacks, addiction and history of diseases such as cancer. These are just signals from your body in crisis calling for change. Rise with us at the Wayfarer’s Chapel, a sacred place and sanctuary to heal. It is time for you to become the HERO-INE of your family. We can’t wait to see you there!
